History

The trajectory of one of the largest business organizations in Brazil began in São José do Rio Preto, in São Paulo in 1949, from a truck and buses dealership and the entrepreneurship of its founder, Waldemar de Oliveira Verdi.

In the automotive sector – on which began and grew - the Group has the largest network of dealerships of Mercedes-Benz in Brazil, the largest network of Toyota dealerships, as well as leadership in the distribution of Michelin truck tires.

In real estate - which began in 1983 - the company acts with Rodobens Real Estate, the 10th largest builder in the country. It prioritizes the development of cities with population over 100,000 inhabitants. In 2007 when opening the capital of Rodobens Real Estate, the Group makes an important step in development of its operations in this sector.

In 2010 Rodobens Business and Solutions was created, with the aim of bringing automotive business and financial solutions. Thus, areas of Rodobens Cars, Rodobens Trucks, Rodobens Consortium, Rodobens Trucks, Rodobens Leasing and Rental, Rodobens Bank, Rodobens Consortium and Rodobens Insurance Broker become to work with greater synergy, in order to promote faster growth.

1950s
	Creation of Cirasa - first dealership of Mercedes-Benz trucks of Rodobens Companies;
1960s
	Foundation of Rodobens Consortium, with plans to Mercedes-Benz trucks in São José do Rio Preto;
1970s
	1972 – Expansion of the Mercedes truck dealerships in the Midwest, North, Northeast and Southeast. Rodobens Consortium expands its activities for the states of Mato Grosso, Goiás, Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo;
1980s
	1980 – Acquisition of Consortium Administrator Portobens - RS; 1981 – Initiation of trading of Michelin truck tires; 1981 – Partnership with Embratel Executive TV to consortium broadcast national meetings; 1983 – Birth of Rodobens Engineering (current Rodobens Real Estate Business); 1986 – Creation of Rodobens Insurance Broker; 1989 – Initiation of Green Cars activities, with the Volkswagen brand dealership located in Paranaíba-MS;
1990s
	1990 – Expansion of the Green Cars. Launching of Toyota dealerships, VW, GM, Mercedes-Benz, Jeep, Chrysler and Dodge (12 dealerships up to 1999); Entrance at Argentima through Fangio brand, operating car, trucks, SUVs and Mercedes-Bez buses dealerships; 1991 – Rodobens Consortium launches first real estate plan in Brazil; Rodobens Real Estate System creates Sistema Fácil, launching a new way of purchasing real estate in the country through self-financing; 1992 – Rodobens Insurance Broker launches Superauto Insurance (cars and trucks) - pioneer in the replacement of new vehicles by 12 months; 1996 – Creation of Rodobens Business Communication that will offer services of production and broadcast through Rodolink Corporate TV; 1998 – Rodobens Consortium develops partnership with Unibanco and launches 30 hours Consortium for the sale of car Consortium shares on the bank branches;
2000s
	2001 – Creation of Rodobens Insurance of Transport and Rodobens Risk Management; Offering of Truck Load Insurance; 2002 – Creation of Rodobens Car rental; 2003 – Restructuring of the corporate brands, giving rise to Rodobens Companies and Rodobens as main brand; 2004 – Rodobens Consortium begins marketing shares of motorcycles; Rodobens Negócios Imobiliários lança o Plano Único, em parceria com o Unibanco; 2005 – Rodobens Real Estate launches Terra Nova concept; 2007 – Rodobens Real Estate performs IPO and enters into the New Market of the São Paulo stock exchange; Initiation of Rodobens Cars S.A., representing the Hyundai brand in Argentina; 2008 – Rodobens Consortium develops partnership with Dafra Motorcycles; Rodobens Real Estate launches Morada concept – The company Wins Master Imobiliário Award/2008;
2009
	Rodobens celebrates 60 years; Creation of Rodobens Shared Services - Support Unit serving Rodobens Companies; Rodobens Consortium launches National Services Consortium;Rodobens Real Estate Business was featured in the Prix d'Excellence (Master Plan category), the patriarch of the company, Waldemar de Oliveira Verdi is elected as the Entrepreneur of the Year by the jury of Ernst & Young Consultation, and represented Brazil in the World Award of the same consultation, held in Monaco, along with 43 other leaders / entrepreneurs worldwide;
2010
	Creation of Rodobens Business and Solutions covering six key areas: Rodobens Cars, Rodobens Trucks, Rodobens Leasing and Rental, Rodobens Bank, Rodobens Consortium and Rodobens Insurance Broker.
